College: Central Michigan University (2004–2005), where he made 22 starts over 43 appearances. Played 2 seasons( 2003-2004) with the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Drafted: Selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 12th round of the 2002 MLB Draft (did not sign) and by the Chicago Cubs in the 23rd round of the 2005 MLB Draft. Professional: Pitched in the Cubs' minor league system from 2006 to 2009, reaching Triple-A with the Iowa Cubs. He compiled a career 18–11 record with a 3.43 ERA over 175 appearances, all in relief.
